I love to help others achieve happiness and make positive changes in their lives. My goal is to help free you of limiting beliefs and thought patterns and allow you to live the life that you want.
Hypnotherapy is the use of Hypnosis in a therapeutic manner. We all often experience a form of Hypnosis when we daydream, read a book, drive the car etc – it is simply a naturally occurring altered state.
In a typical session I encourage you to reach a profound state of relaxation, where your conscious mind quietens, allowing your unconscious mind to listen. From a place or ‘state’ of calmness we can bring about change.
Many words can be used for anxiety; for example, worry, overthinking, dread, fear are just a few.
We all feel anxious at times, for example when going for a job interview or meeting a group of people for the first time. But, once the meeting is over we restore to ‘normal’. However, if you find yourself feeling anxious most of the time and are unable to cope then hypnotherapy can help.
Hypnotherapy can help to alleviate your anxiety, and increase calm and confidence.
Under hypnosis we may need to look at past events to help you resolve and release any stored emotions that are contributing to how you are feeling. We can then, through hypnotherapy, guide you into a new a calmer and confident way of being.
Sometimes, a small amount of stress can help us to complete tasks and feel more energised. But stress can become a problem when it lasts for a long time or is very intense. In some cases, stress can affect our physical and mental health, so if you are looking for a way to manage your stress levels then hypnotherapy could be the answer for you.
Hypnotherapy can help you to clear your mind of clutter and help you to think more clearly, alleviating the stress/anxiety you are experiencing. We will work on you feeling calmer and in control, feeling able to cope with what you are going through.
Do you self sabotage, or constantly self doubt? Do you suffer with imposter syndrome or overwhelming negative thoughts?
With low confidence or self-esteem, we struggle to be able to do what we want… such as cope with a new job, attend a large event, public speaking, sitting exams, drive a car etc, and many other things unique to each of us.
Our confidence and self esteem can be impacted by our self-beliefs which are stored within our subconscious mind. During Hypnotherapy we will look at where these negative beliefs/patterns of behaviour come from and install new positive beliefs, to enable you to feel confident and self assured.
During a hypnotherapy session, you will be guided you into a relaxed state to connect with your unconscious mind. This can be particularly useful in treating depression, as it can help you to address underlying issues or or recognise unhealthy thought patterns or beliefs. You will then be guided to resolve these subconscious elements so emotional change occurs.
Some of the symptoms of depression include feeling very unhappy and/or hopeless, low self-esteem or finding no pleasure in things you usually enjoy.
If needed, I will help you to find the cause of your depression and give you tools to help you change the way you think and feel. It will boost your confidence and self-esteem and help you enjoy life once again.
Do you suffer with unwanted emotions that cause problems in your relationships? Emotions such as jealousy, mistrust, insecurity, low moods… emotions that you just don’t understand and would like not to have? If you would like to explore this and change these behaviours in order to strengthen your relationships and be a happier person, then hypnotherapy could be the answer for you.
Under hypnosis we will go back and look at any past events that may have caused these behaviours/beliefs. By viewing this through an adult perspective it will help to you understand why you behave and react the way you do - why you have those subconscious beliefs/thought patterns. Through hypnotherapy we will work on releasing those old patterns of behaviour/beliefs and replacing them with new positive beliefs so that you are able to have happier and more balanced relationships.
Through the use of hypnotherapy, fears & phobias can be resolved in approximately 4 sessions depending on the individual and the severity of their fears and phobias. Hypnotherapy can help you discover the root cause of the phobia and react with a calmer response when encountering it in the future. Through the use of deep relaxation and the hypnotic state, it teaches the mind a different way to respond to the feared situation or object. Hypnosis for a phobia works by detaching the stimulus from the emotional response and replacing them with new more realistic responses.
A big part of quitting smoking is letting go of the smoking routine you once had and looking at cigarettes differently. Changing your habits is key, for example, if you get out of bed in the morning and go downstairs, put the kettle on and then light your first cigarette; you need to change the routine, maybe get out of bed and have a shower, before going downstairs.
It’s important that you are looking at stopping smoking for yourself and no one else. If you are doing this under pressure from friends, a partner or your family, then the process will not work. The drive to quit smoking with hypnosis must be yours alone!
Hypnotherapy works by putting you in a relaxed state where your mind is more open to suggestion. At this point, your hypnotherapist will look to change your thought patterns by making suggestions, such as you are now a non-smoker and you are a permanent non-smoker. For many people, just one session is enough to quit smoking. However, some may benefit from a follow-up session.
You will be given recordings to play to reinforce that you are a non-smoker. It is important that you are prepared to play your part in the therapy and listen to your recordings.
When you are coming for your session, to help it to be more successful, you should not have any cigarettes’ available. Come with the mind-set that you are going to be a non-smoker.
All smokers know that it is not good for them… but oh it feels so hard to give up. Hypnotherapy is very effective at helping to change your mind-set and deciding to become a non-smoker.
The benefits of giving up are better health, clearer skin and more energy. Also people gain more time; how many times do you say to yourself, I will do that after I have had a cigarette? Not to mention of course the financial gain.
Whether you want to give up smoking for your health or wealth; hypnotherapy may be the answer for you.
Although giving up smoking using hypnotherapy, means you will not eat more; you will need to think about increasing your exercise to ensure that weight gain does not become a problem. People typically believe that a cigarette is helping them to relax, however, the body is not experiencing relaxation; quite the opposite, as the heart rate increases and the metabolism has also increased. It is quite easy to counteract this by increasing the amount exercise that a person does. This does not mean that you need to join a gym or start working out. It simply means that you need to move more. For example, you could park your car further away from work. Or walk faster. After a year your metabolism will normalise.
Unlike other treatments, this is a two-hour one-off session - £200
The mind cannot always tell the difference between what is real and what is imagined. That is why your brain produces stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol, even when you imagine or remember a traumatic situation.
When a person remembers or imagines an experience or situation that made them feel helpless, frightened, or distressed the brain can produce all the same stress responses that it would if the event was happening at that moment. This is why traumatic experiences are often re-lived by the sufferer again and again. Guiding you into a safe deep relaxation, Hypnotherapy will help to reprocess the memory, and stop you from responding in fight or flight mode, allowing you to revisit it in a calmer way… the memory is recoded, which allows you to move forward with your life with more ease.
Depression, anxiety, boredom and relaxation all influence the intensity of physical pain because the mind and body influence one another. Pain can be worse when we feel stress and our muscles are tense. Hypnotherapy can help relax and calm you and is highly effective in dealing with pain management. People often undergo surgery and dental work using hypnosis as the anaesthetic.
When seeing a therapist for chronic pain, it is advisable that the pain is checked out by a GP first for a formal diagnosis.
Hypnotherapy can help you to have a more positive mind-set, which in turn can have a powerful effect on your health and well-being. Working within your belief system, hypnotherapy can give you the drive and energy you need to start that sport you’ve always spoken about starting, get to the gym, go to that class every week, help you shift the extra weight you would like to lose by exercising…

Over the course of a person’s life, their subconscious mind will have formed learnt behaviours in the form of beliefs, patterns and programmes, right back as far as childhood. Hypnotherapy connects with the subconscious mind to reprogramme any beliefs, fears or limiting behaviours that may be holding a person back. The relaxed state brought about through hypnosis opens a person’s subconscious mind and enables them to be more receptive to positive suggestions given to them, if they are suggestions that they consciously want to make.
In this session I will go through your consultation form and get to know you better. This helps me to design further sessions that are personalised for you. You will also have a hypnotic relaxation session.
Everyone’s response is different. Some people can experience significant change after just a few sessions, but others can need more. On average, cases tend to require approximately between 4 and 10 sessions. Following the discovery call, I will suggest the number of sessions I feel would be appropriate for you. You are not committed to complete the course. If for any reason you decide you do not require the originally discussed sessions, I will refund you at the individual treatment cost price (£70 per session), not the block booking price.
Yes! You are in complete control and you cannot be made to do, say, think or accept anything against your will. You will be aware of everything that is happening and although you may not hear every word I say you will be in full control throughout the session. The depth of your hypnotic trance will depend on your willingness to ‘let go’ and trust the process. I will make suggestions and guide your subconscious mind but you will be fully aware of the conversation.
Should you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please provide 48 hours’ notice. If the notice is less than 48 hours, you will be required to pay 50% of the fee, and if less than 24 hours, you will be required to pay in full.
